5 90s Movies that NEED a Modern Videogame Adaptation

The upcoming Terminator 2D: NO FATE may be a 16bit throwback, but it’s just the latest in a long line of video games based on the film franchise. Not that we’re complaining, but we’d love for some other 90s movies to get this sort of love too. Following the excellent Terminator: Resistance and RoboCop: Rogue City games from Teyon, we know it’s possible for video games to make dTerecent, authentic sequels to classic films… so what would a modern Total Recall game look like? How might Stargate inspire a Mass Effect style RPG? Are there actually twelve monkeys in 12 Monkeys?

Terminator 2D: NO FATE is designed to look and feel like retro gaming, but it’s really a love letter to the nineties, transporting us back to a time when Gladiators was on TV and Oasis were touring. Many 90s action movies had half-baked PS1 tie-in games, including Independence Day and The Fifth Element.
