Composer Nobuo Uematsu doesn't 'have the physical and mental strength' to create full game.

Nobuo Uematsu, famed for Final Fantasy scores, won’t compose full game soundtracks anymore.

His last complete game soundtrack was for 2021’s Fantasian, marking an end to his era of full-scale compositions.

"I don’t think I’ll compose music for a whole game again," said Uematsu

"You would have to give it full-throttle for two or three years. And I don’t think I have the physical and mental strength to do it anymore."

Instead, Uematsu has chosen to dedicate his time to less demanding work.

Uematsu’s legacy endures, having crafted FF7 Remake’s main theme, with hopes for future contributions.
