Cyberpunk 2077 VR mod was removed by CD Projekt Redbecause the creator was breaching their rules on fan created content. The dev team had no issues with the mod itself, however the paywalling behind the creators Patreon is what they took issue with.
Their rules on fan content is that the creator cannot use it for commercial purposes, Luke Ross, who created the mod, was putting access behind a paywall on his Patreon.
The mod can go back up provided Luke makes it free for all players, but more recently 505 games also issued a DMCA strike for Luke’s VR mod for Ghostrunner, which has resulted in the creator removing the VR mods from his patreon. No word yet on whether they’ll be back.
