In today’s Daily Fix:
Grand Theft Auto 6 will be released later this year (or so we’ve been assured by publisher Take-Two), but no actual launch details have been revealed. Many fans want to know if they’ll be able to by a physical version of the game at launch, and Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick is now saying that a digital-only launch is ‘not the plan.’ While not explicitly saying that disc versions will be available, it does leave the door open for interpretation. In other news, Overwatch 2 had a big Spotlight stream where developer Blizzard outlined changes coming to the hero shooter. Most notably, the game will drop the ‘2’ from the title, and be known simply as ‘Overwatch.’ A new story-focused era is coming, which will last a year, and several new characters have been announced. And finally, a new Nintendo Direct, this one centered on their third-party partners, will be dropping bright and early at 6am Pacific time tomorrow.
