E3 is Dead and Wolverine Got Hacked - Beyond 828

Beyond! Hot on the heels of last week’s GTA 6 trailer leak and subsequent reveal, this week we’ve got some more substantial news to talk about – though it’s not exactly fun. For starters, the ESA has officially pulled the plug on E3, which has been on varying degrees of life support for a while now. It’s not a huge surprise but it’s still a major loss for the games industry. Meanwhile, hackers breached Insomniac Games and allegedly stole a bunch of data, including info on the upcoming Wolverine PS5 game, as well as a bunch of developers’ personal information, which isn’t a very nice thing to do. What is a nice thing to do is celebrate some of the many great games released in 2023, and then give an imaginary, made-up award to one in particular, so we’ll be breaking down the best PlayStation games of 2023 – which is to say, games you can play on a PlayStation, among other platforms. Jada got some time with God of War Ragnarok’s surprise roguelike DLC, Valhalla, and it seems promising. Finally, we’re joined by Grant Stoner, who regularly covers accessibility  in games (or lack thereof) and who also reviewed Sony’s adaptive PlayStation Access controller. It’s allowed Grant to play some awesome PS5 games, but it leaves a lot to be desired, and sadly sounds like more of an accessory to a controller than a dedicated one on its own.
