Halo: Campaign Evolved has been criticised by OG Halo developer. Key designer Jaime Griesemer took umbrage to a big change in the Silent Cartographer level that lets you steamroll Hunters with a warthog by opening up a previously blocked path. "I intentionally placed rocks in the way so you had to fight them on foot. Griesemer said.
Fans also criticised the addition of a needless Needler ammo counter, but this design was actually introduced to Halo Infinite in 2021 so this is probably just a case of bringing weapon parity to the series.
