The new Resident Evil movie will be set in Raccoon City! Snowy set photos of Zach Cregger’s upcoming Resident Evil movie show a transformed Prague, covered in artificial snow and littered with Raccoon City props, including a Martin County Sheriff’s vehicle and a city map.
The fact that Raccoon City isn’t a burning crater in the ground means that this film must be set prior to the October 1998 destruction of the city in Resident Evil 3, but the snow means it must take place before the events of the first game, which happened in July 1998. When do you think the movie will be set?
Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil movie is set to release September 18, 2026
