Sonic Racing Crossworlds REVIEW: Too Much Chaos. Not Enough Emeralds?

If Mario Kart is Twister, Sonic Racing is Sharknado: one is the definitive take on a genre, the other is its daft little brother that pushes all the sliders up to 11 without any nuance or subtlety, and the results are either nonsense or exquisite depending entirely on your outlook. Crossworlds is the latest entry in SEGA’s karting alternative that layers in even more disparate gaming universes (if you have the season pass), pitting Sonic and Shadow versus such unlikely opponents as Pac Man, Mega Man, and Ichiban Kasuga from Yakuza: Like a Dragon… man. And it is unapologetically arcadey, with an exhilarating driving model built purely for gameplay over any sense of physics or realism. As it should be, most would argue. But is it any good, hmm? HMM?

Sonic Crossworlds review gameplay shows how the game handles, its sense of speed, and its wide selection of characters and vehicles, including Sonic the Hedgehog and also Shadow, Amy, Tails, Dr. Eggman, and all of your favourites from the SEGA back catalogue.
